Sources, tag definitions & evidence boundaries

Scope. The 16 publicly announced award winners from 2022–2025: 3, 3, 5 and 5 projects respectively. These are award counts, not participation totals. No 2026 results are included. Sources reviewed: 19 September 2026.

Seven dimensions. Primary problem domain, target beneficiaries, setting, intervention mechanism, solution format, problem characteristics and publicly documented development stage. Tags are our interpretation, not official judge scores. Each project has one primary domain and format; characteristics can overlap and must not be added as if they were separate projects.

Domain definitions. Environment & animals includes waste, conservation, sustainable tourism and pet welfare. Wellbeing & inclusion covers support and dignity; public safety covers human hazard preparedness; transport & efficiency covers travel friction; learning & facilities covers access to learning infrastructure. These broad choices affect the counts.

Evidence. “Reported” means described in the linked official summary, not independently verified. Stage labels describe available documentation, not a complete development history. Unknown means not disclosed in the sources reviewed. An award, a design or a prototype is not proof of real-world effectiveness. No comparable long-term impact measurements were identified in these summaries.

Names. Official school names and reported project names are retained. Where no project name was given, a descriptive English title is explicitly marked in the details.

This is an independent learning resource, not an official Department of Education publication or a prediction of judging outcomes.
